Designed, coded, installed and supported |
2/97
- 8/97
Visual Basic 5.0 |
When
using the database replication features of Access, there is no simple
method to un-replicate a database. This process requires a complex
series of manual steps. The Un-Replicate Database tool was created
to automate this complex process. The application created a new
non-replicated database, copied all Tables, Queries, Forms, Reports,
Macros, Modules, Relationships, Menus, Toolbars and data from the
replicated Access database to the non-replicated Access database. |

Visual Basic 5.0 |
A system
used to maintain a multi level parts catalog for many high tech
component manufacturers. Provided an Explorer interface to ease

text files in various formats from different vendors into a SQL
server (data warehouse) database. Extensive error trapping and data
correction to deal with corrupt text files and data. The application

file with all records that could not be processed and a log file
to document the entire process. |

Co-Designed, coded, installed and supported |
2/96
- 10/96
Visual Basic 4.0 |
A system
deployed world wide to allow forecasting of sales. This consisted
of two components. The first allows for creation and maintenance
of all sales orders, which uses a complex multi-level data structure
in several currencies. It allows selection of data from a detailed
criteria definition screen that developed optimized SQL on the fly
to retrieve the requested data. This tool is connected to an Oracle
back end. The second component was co-developed to allow users to
select data from the data warehouse and create reports, spreadsheets,
database tables or text files on the fly. This tool can attach to
any datasource and build an internal structure from which the user
can select fields and apply attributes to the selections. The results
of the users choices are directed to Excel via OLE automation, Access
or a text file. |
