Created several custom ActiveX components for integration into other applications including TripMaster, a shuttle scheduling system. One ActiveX component managed software licensing and locking an application if the license expired. Also developed an ActiveX component for creation and management of staff scheduling. Additionally developed a tool for management of SmartNote templates.

Created an Active X component that allowed the Users to select desired attachments for mailings and interface with two separate applications. That information was translated into a bar code, which was printed on the cover letter and read by the mail management system to assemble the packet to be mailed to the customer.

Used VBA in Excel to communicate with "Business Objects" data warehouse to create a spreadsheet. Allowed the user to select parameters, passed the information to "Business Objects" and retrieved the query results into an Excel workbook. It then manipulated the data in the spreadsheet and produced a report.

When using the database replication features of Access, there is no simple method to un-replicate a database. This process requires a complex series of manual steps. The Un-Replicate Database tool was created to automate this complex process. The application created a new non-replicated database, copied all Tables, Queries, Forms, Reports, Macros, Modules, Relationships, Menus, Toolbars and data from the replicated Access database to the non-replicated Access database.

A system used to maintain a multi level parts catalog for many high tech component manufacturers. Provided an Explorer interface to ease navigation of the parts hierarchy. The catalog uses an underlying technology, Screens On The Fly, to dynamically create the UI on the fly as the user navigates the object model.

Imports text files in various formats from different vendors into a SQL server (data warehouse) database. Extensive error trapping and data correction to deal with corrupt text files and data. The application handled receiving header/detail sets of data, writing an exception file with all records that could not be processed and a log file to document the entire process.

A system deployed world wide to allow forecasting of sales. This consisted of two components. The first allows for creation and maintenance of all sales orders, which uses a complex multi-level data structure in several currencies. It allows selection of data from a detailed criteria definition screen that developed optimized SQL on the fly to retrieve the requested data. This tool is connected to an Oracle back end. The second component was co-developed to allow users to select data from the data warehouse and create reports, spreadsheets, database tables or text files on the fly. This tool can attach to any datasource and build an internal structure from which the user can select fields and apply attributes to the selections. The results of the users choices are directed to Excel via OLE automation, Access or a text file.
